Pat Quinn, a singer-songwriter originally from County Longford, has been residing on Inis Oirr for over 20 years. He is well-known for his satirical, witty, and political songs, often incorporating elements of Irish traditional music. Many of his songs have been covered by well-known artists such as Christy Moore, highlighting the quality and recognition of his songwriting.

Quinn’s deep connection to his surroundings is evident in both his art and songwriting. His beloved song "The Great Potato Feud" celebrates the Irish people's affection and deep-rooted convictions for the humble potato, highlighting its significance in Ireland's culinary history. Renowned for his brilliant satirical lyrics, Quinn delivers his songs with a lively performance style that captivates audiences in his adopted home of Inis Oirr.

 

Living on the smallest and easternmost of the three Aran Islands in Galway Bay, he is an integral part of the local community. Pat Quinn has released two albums featuring his original material, solidifying his reputation as a unique voice in Irish music.
